The Kasiesue Skirt

Last week, I finished this custom skirt for a sweet lady who spends much of her time managing a flower shop. I decided to make it reversible so she'd have two beautiful looks in one. Thanks to my cousin, Meredith, for taking these photos. :)

Creation station!

Finally got my new sewing studio all set up and organized a few weeks ago (for the most part).

Currently, I'm working on a wonderful skirt. The piece is a custom order for a lovely young lady who spends her days managing an adorable flower shop and nursery. She requested a skirt...short front/long back, in blue.

I did some treasure hunting and stumbled upon this lovely springtime blue fabric. The skirt is lined with a flowery soft cotton print from my personal collection. So excited to see her in this garment!!!

I should try to fight insomnia now...must wake up early for a Geology fieldtrip to the mountain. I'm not in the class, I just like hanging out and learning about naaature. Hope you all have a happy weekend!

It was Metric!

This band has influenced my life for the better part of a decade and I'm happy to say...Metric only seems to get better with age. Emily Haines is completely adorable and sings smooth like butter. Jimmy Shaw is her perfect partner in crime. I want to share some of my favorite acoustic sets of Emily and Jimmy with you guys...so, here ye be...

I was lucky enough to see Metric live in Nashville last year. This was the last song they played. Beautiful!

...aaand I bid you goodnight...goodnight....goooodniiighhtt!
